Exeter Staircase

Project Brief

To design, manufacture & install a complete Stainless-Steel staircase with Glazed Treads and ST/ST Handrails with Glazed Infill Panels within a newly constructed purpose-built family home.

Design Skills

Having been involved with our client from a very early stage in the project, we were asked to provide a replica of a staircase that they had seen at a Mercedes Benz Dealership in Portsmouth.
We used our in-house Computer Aided Design skills to produce full working drawings to provide the client with a full concept so that they could envisage the installation, prior to commencing with the installation.
We then undertook every aspect of the manufacture and installation, resulting in a bespoke staircase of the highest quality.

Recommended

Wilton Place is the neighbouring property to West Cliff Palms.

Having carried out the works at West Cliff Palms the year previous we were recommended to the management personnel of Wilton Place with glowing reviews.

As with West Cliff Palms, we undertook the works as the Main Contractor from Planning to completion.

Complete package

Our many years of experience as a company has allowed us to offer a complete package service when it comes to installations such as these.

Every aspect of this project, from initial design with full working drawings of each floor and building elevations, through Planning Approval from the local authority, to the setting up of site as the Main Contractor and Project managing right through to completion, was cared for by us.

We take a lot of pride in our finished products, and we like to feel that it ‘shines’ through on completion.

Studland Dene

Project Brief

To supply and install laminated glazed panels to 2 separate balcony handrails.

Installation

Having undertaken the original installation of ALL balcony handrails and internal staircase handrails, during the construction of the building from June 2009 onwards, we have always worked in close conjunction with the maintenance of the properties since then.

The glazing of the balcony handrails were altered on behalf of the owners. We ran the project on their behalf, which involved erecting scaffolding, removing the existing panels and supplying and installing the replacement panels.

Medina Way

Project brief

To design, manufacture & install a Stainless Steel Handrail to 1st Floor Balcony area.

How We Realized The Idea And Beyond

Our client decided to make the most of the views at the front of his property, overlooking Mudeford Bay, by including a ST/ST Balcony Handrail with Glazed infill Panels.

As the balcony is located at the front of his property there was an element of privacy that was still required, without hindering the view. Our client requested Smoked Grey sand blasted glass, which makes the glazed panels obscure.

There was a twist to these obscure panels however, our client requested 2 clear horizontal stripes on each panel, which, as the pictures show, made the whole balcony look that much more impressive.

Lagland Court

Project brief

To design, manufacture & install a Stainless Steel Handrails to the main entrance walkways of this Housing Association owned and maintained property.

Renovation

This was a complete renovation to the external facade of the building, working in conjunction with the Main Contractor (Mears Projects). The work had to be done in completed runs of 6 Linear Metres/day.

At the start of every day we had to segregate the working area from the residents and remove the existing handrails. We then had to ensure that by the end of that working day that the ST/ST capping on the floor, ST/ST Upright Posts, ST/ST Handrail and blue ‘Trespa’ Panels were all installed and back in place to keep the area safe and secure for the residents.

With a complex work schedule, the presence of Asbestos in the existing handrails and the constant pedestrian traffic of the residents, this project was completed ahead of the allowed schedule.

Bournemouth Town Centre

Project Brief

To design, manufacture & install a Stainless Steel Handrails to Entrance Staircase to 1st Floor area and ‘Seamless’ Glazed handrail across parapet wall area.

What we did

Our client’s property had been severely damaged by a large tree on neighbouring land, falling during a storm late one evening.

A large amount of building work had to then be undertaken to not only replace the damaged items but bring the works up to date with current building regulations.

The Stainless Steel handrails were manufactured and installed to the correct heights, along with a small ‘seamless’ glazed handrail, which gave the property a contemporary appearance.

View Over The Sea

Our client, who had been completely renovating his property after recently retiring, had decided to make the most of the views at the front of his property, overlooking Poole Bay, by sensibly including a balcony over a newly built Entrance Porch Extension.
As the balcony is located at the front of his property there was an element of privacy that was still required, without hindering the view. On our recommendations, we supplied and installed the client with Bronze Tinted Glazed Infill Panels.
